You can ask your friends to bring some drink with them if you provide the food. This means you can get 3 pizza from the frozen food section at the supermarket and cook them yourself for around $7. Doesn't sound like much but if you are doing it once a week that is $28 a month you will be spending rather than $80! Saving $52, your friends will understand if you are wanting to get out of debt don't be afraid to explain the situation and don't feel obliged to go out EVERY time they go out. Think of the savings! This is just one of the ways that I cut back on my spending when I realized how much each month was going out the door on restaurants and bars. I still slip in the odd game of ten pin but the basics are a movie and a oven bake pizza are cheaper and just as much fun as being out.
